The Thinking Classroom – Tools to promote a deep learning environment

April 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Do you sometimes feel like you are working harder than your learners?

Pressure to deliver the curriculum means that we often have to concentrate on coverage at the expense of deep learning.

The Thinking Classroom aims to help you to develop a more balanced approach in a way that increases learner challenge and promotes student engagement.

Aimed at classroom teacher, this fun and active course will model approaches and allow you to explore a variety of strategies to raise student attainment by incorporating the use of thinking skills.

The course will cover:

  • The benefits of operating a thinking classroom
  • Strategies you can use to get your students thinking
  • What the research shows us about the effects on student attainment
  • How to teach your students to think effectively
  • How to increase the effectiveness of your questioning
  • Tools that are available to support thinking in your classroom
  • How to incorporate the approaches without increasing your workload

Cost £75 (£50 for Knetic Subscribers)
