When we were approached by Dene Community school for ideas for a big video project to accompany their STEM week we jumped at the chance to take part. The aim was to work with students from Dene, and their feeder primary schools, to create an animation to demonstrate how education opens up opportunities to go into STEM-related industries. Shot on three animation rigs, the video shows the primaries arriving at the entrance to the school and the secondary students leaving to pursue their careers. Be sure to watch till the end to see how the whole thing was put together. We love doing Pixilation animation because it allows children’s imaginations to run wild on a large scale. The students were asked to think creatively about how they would travel to and from the school. I’m sure you will agree they have a fantastic imagination.
