We love letting learners loose with real technology. Today we went on a bit of a field trip with our loan stock of DSLR cameras. The venue for the visit was one of our most iconic North East landmarks – Penshaw Monument. The class from St Anne’s RC Primary climbed the monument to get a birds eye view and capture the visit. Having been taught basic skills of composition, and how to use the camera. the children took it in turns to take pictures before heading back to school to process them in Photoshop.
It was great to be able to use a proper photography workflow with such young students. The children commented how much they felt like “proper photographers” with the “big” cameras.
If you would like us to meet you on a trip and bring some kit to augment the visit just get in touch – we’d be delighted to tag along.
