Free Apple Training and iPad CPD for Educators

At Knetic Education, we’re proud to be an official Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC).
As part of the national network of Apple RTCs, we provide free Apple training, iPad CPD, and professional learning opportunities to help teachers build confidence and creativity using Apple technology in the classroom.

Our goal is to support schools and educators across the North East — and beyond — to make the most of iPads in teaching and learning. Whether you’re completely new to Apple technology or looking to extend your digital strategy, our sessions are practical, inspiring, and designed for real classrooms.

What is an Apple Regional Training Centre?

Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses designed to help educators develop the skills and confidence to use Apple technology effectively — both inside and outside the classroom.

As part of this global community, we share best practice, promote innovation in teaching with Apple devices, and provide opportunities for teachers to earn Apple Teacher accreditation — Apple’s professional learning programme that recognises educators who use iPads and Macs to transform learning.

Being selected as an RTC demonstrates our commitment to supporting schools through high-quality, free CPD on Apple technology and iPad use in education.

Our Apple Training Services

We offer a wide range of Apple and iPad CPD opportunities for teachers, schools and trusts, including:

  • Support toward Apple Teacher accreditation
    Learn how to complete Apple’s professional learning programme and earn your digital badges.

Collaboration Across the North East

Our Sunderland RTC works closely with other Apple Regional Training Centres across the North East — including Durham, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Newcastle — to provide a complementary programme of free courses.

Apple Mac Training RoomApple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. They are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.

Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.

Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.

Teachers from across the region can attend courses to build their knowledge and skills using technology in the classroom and earn badges to achieve their Apple Teacher recognition.

At Sunderland we work closely with other RTCs in the North East to deliver complimentary courses.

The staff at each RTC have unique skills to offer but we all share the same aims. Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:

  • facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom
  • promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators
  • build Apple Teacher across the region
