At Knetic Education, we’ve been delivering staff CPD for many years — helping teachers, leaders and support staff develop confidence, creativity and clarity in how technology can enhance learning.
Our approach to professional development is rooted in PedTech — where pedagogy meets technology. We focus on how digital tools can make teaching more effective, not just which tools to use. That means no endless lists of apps or websites — just practical, relevant learning that empowers teachers to apply ideas confidently in their own classrooms.
Our CPD Approaches
We know that effective professional learning looks different in every setting, so we offer flexible options to suit your school or trust.
Learn with Your Students
One of our most popular and powerful approaches, this hands-on CPD allows teachers to learn alongside their students.
We’ll co-plan the lesson with you, showing how learning technologies and digital strategies can enhance engagement and understanding.
Together, we’ll deliver the lesson, allowing you to experience first-hand how it works — then you can take the lead next time with full confidence. Plus you get to see approaches modelled with your learners. This is deal if you are wanting to introduce a new technology into the classroom and has been a very successful approach with things like Crumbles and Microbits.
Learn with Your Colleagues
We offer bespoke, whole-school or departmental CPD tailored to your priorities.
Whether you want to explore new approaches to pedagogy, improve digital confidence or develop subject-specific expertise, we’ll design training that’s relevant, interactive and achievable.
Our most popular areas include:
- AI in the Classroom – how to use artificial intelligence safely and ethically to support planning, feedback and personalised learning.
- Online Safety – developing responsible digital citizens and embedding e-safety and digital safety across the curriculum.
- Effective Use of Mobile Devices – using iPads, Chromebooks or other devices to enhance pedagogy, not distract from it.
- Media Development and Creativity – video, audio and visual storytelling in learning.
- Cloud Services for Education – getting the most from Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe Express or iCloud.
- Photography and Visual Literacy – using images to support communication and creativity.
- Effective Teaching & Learning / Growth Mindset / EFA – evidence-informed approaches to motivation, reflection and classroom culture.
Learn with Other Teachers
We’re proud to be part of the CAS network and we run computing leads’ network meetings in Sunderland & Durham.
As an Apple Regional Training Centre, we also deliver free iPad and Mac courses throughout the year — focused on creativity, accessibility and innovative learning design.

AI, PedTech and Current CPD Themes
Our CPD evolves with the needs of schools. Right now, we’re supporting teachers across the UK with sessions on:
- PedTech in practice – using technology to strengthen pedagogy, not replace it.
- Harnessing AI tools safely – exploring how tools like ChatGPT, Adobe Express, Canva, Gemini, Co Pilot and other generative AI tools can support workflow, differentiation and creativity without losing teacher voice.
- Digital Assessment and Feedback – making marking smarter, faster and more meaningful.
- Curriculum Design for Digital Learning – aligning computing, creativity and curriculum intent.
Whatever the theme, our focus remains the same: giving teachers breathing space to think, reflect and apply. We won’t overwhelm you with hundreds of apps or resources because we’ve sat through that “200 Apps You can’t teach without’ scattergun approach ourselves and we know an overwhelmed teacher — we’ll help you discover how technology can make you a more effective, confident teacher.
Making CPD Count
At the end of every CPD session, we help participants set measurable targets for how they’ll improve classroom practice as a result of their learning.
It’s not just about inspiration on the day — it’s about embedding change that has visible impact in your school.
