Bring Learning to Life Through Creative Animation
Stop-motion animation is a powerful, hands-on way for learners to demonstrate their understanding across the curriculum. Combining storytelling, technology and creativity, our workshops give pupils the opportunity to become filmmakers — developing the same skills made famous by Aardman Animations, creators of Wallace and Gromit.
Whether you’re looking for a cross-curricular workshop, a creative after-school club, or an inspiring HAF holiday activity, stop-motion animation engages learners of all ages and abilities, encouraging collaboration, problem-solving and imagination.
Creative, Cross-Curricular Learning for KS1 and KS2
Stop-motion animation can be adapted for a wide range of subjects and key stages. Learners can:
- Create animations that explain scientific concepts or life cycles
- Make online safety films to teach others how to stay safe
- Bring a story to life from English or history lessons
- Visualise an algorithm or process in computing or maths
These projects provide a genuine purpose for learning, helping children connect what they learn in the classroom with real creative outcomes.
Flexible and Fully Supported Workshops
You can prepare for the session by making your own clay models or paper cut-outs, or we can even animate the learners themselves in pixilation style (where students become the characters).
Each workshop can be tailored for KS1 or KS2 and covers all the key stop-motion skills:
- Storyboarding and planning
- Onion skinning and animation principles
- Adding audio and sound effects
- Creating titles and credits
- Using chroma key (green screen) techniques
We use a variety of software and hardware to suit your school’s setup — from iPads and Chromebooks to desktop PCs.
We can provide all the equipment
Animation is perfect for HAF Programmes and museums too
As well as school-based workshops, we also deliver stop-motion animation sessions for school holiday programmes, including HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) initiatives, and creative sessions for museums, libraries and community venues.
Our facilitators are experienced in adapting workshops for different audiences and spaces, ensuring every participant gets a hands-on, enjoyable and educational experience.
Whether in school or at your venue, our animation sessions are designed to fire learners’ imagination, develop digital skills, and give real purpose to their creativity.
Inspire. Create. Animate.
Stop-motion animation is one of our most popular workshops — engaging, inclusive and endlessly creative.
We can even offer CPD, advice on apps and ideas to help you to run your own animation workshops.
Contact us today to book a stop-motion animation workshop for your school, museum or HAF programme, and let’s bring learning to life one frame at a time.
