Helping Schools Review, Strengthen and Celebrate Online Safety
We’ve been involved in online and digital safety education since Mark first took his primary school online in the 90s. So we have many years experience we’re proud to be accredited 360Safe assessors, officially recognised by SWGfL. This means we’re perfectly placed to support schools in reviewing, developing and evidencing their online safety and digital safeguarding provision — wherever you are on your journey.
In a time when digital safety and online safeguarding are more important than ever, our accreditation puts us in a stronger position to help schools build confidence, demonstrate compliance, and showcase best practice in online safety.
What is 360Safe?

If you’re not already using it, 360Safe is a free, award-winning online self-review tool developed by SWGfL. It helps schools across the UK assess and improve their online safety policies, procedures and culture.
Endorsed by Ofsted, the Department for Education (DfE) and local authorities, the 360Safe framework is specifically designed for schools and academy trusts. It provides a clear, structured pathway to review and enhance your digital safeguarding strategy, aligned with KCSIE 2025 and the DfE Filtering and Monitoring Standards (2023).
Whether you’re new to 360Safe or already working toward the Online Safety Mark, the tool offers a robust way to evidence your school’s commitment to keeping children and staff safe online.

How We Can Help
As accredited 360Safe assessors, we can offer tailored support to help your school make the most of the tool — from first steps to full accreditation.
Pre-assessment support
If you’re new to 360Safe, we’ll help you get started. We guide schools through each aspect of the framework, explain the key indicators, and help you identify the evidence you’ll need for a strong self-review.
Full Online Safety Mark assessment
Ready to go for the award? We’ll carry out a detailed, fair and supportive review of your online safety provision — looking at policy, practice, culture and leadership. Assessments can be completed in person or virtually, and we’ll provide constructive feedback you can act on straight away.
Pre-assessment checks and action planning
If you’d like a “practice run” before booking your full assessment, we can perform a pre-assessment audit. This gives you a clear view of what’s working well, what to develop, and a step-by-step action plan to help you prepare for success.
Staff training and briefings
As experienced educators and CEOP ambassadors, we can also deliver CPD sessions, leadership briefings, and parent workshops focused on embedding online safety across the curriculum and wider school community.
Why Use 360Safe?
Online safety is now a fundamental part of safeguarding — and it goes far beyond filtering and monitoring. From digital wellbeing and screen time management to AI use, cyberbullying, and social media awareness, schools are facing complex digital challenges every day.
The 360Safe framework helps schools reflect on every aspect of online behaviour and culture — encouraging staff, pupils and parents to take shared responsibility for keeping each other safe online.
Even completing your initial self-review allows your school to demonstrate its commitment to digital safety, earning a 360Safe badge to display on your website.
AI and the New Digital Safety Landscape
As artificial intelligence becomes part of everyday life in schools, it brings new opportunities — and new challenges — for digital safety. From deepfakes to disinformation and misinformation the challenge of AI-generated content and data privacy, the landscape is evolving rapidly. At Knetic Education, we help schools rise to these challenges with confidence. Our training and policy support focus on understanding how AI tools work, how to use them responsibly, and how to teach pupils to think critically about what they see and share online. By combining our expertise in PedTech and digital safeguarding, we help schools create a safe environment where technology supports learning without compromising safety.
